Julien Masson

Julien Masson, a self-protection instructor from Manchester, England, teaches realistic counter-violence methods globally. His experiences growing up in violent environments and involvement with gangs influenced his approach. Julien's martial arts journey began at a young age, encompassing disciplines like Judo, Karate, Taekwondo, Wing Chun, and more. He explored various hybrid and weapon-based systems before specializing in Boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and Combatives.

Julien's father, a Lieutenant in the CRS French Police Intervention Unit, played a significant role in shaping his pragmatic approach to martial methods and police tactics. While growing up in Eastern Europe, Julien had the opportunity to support his father by assisting in the training provided to various governmental units, including AIG, the Special Intervention Unit of the Second Regiment of Internal Forces of Lithuania, the Lukiskes Penitentiary Rapid Reaction Team, and the Latvian Undercover Police Unit.

Throughout his teaching career, Julien focused on providing training for security companies in Lithuania and the United Kingdom. In 2011, he conducted seminars on behalf of Berkut, the Special Intervention Unit of the Ukrainian Police Forces. Julien, trained by world-renowned experts like Lee Morrison and Tommy Carruthers, has a diverse security career, working at major events and as a nightclub doorman while also serving as an active Close Protection Officer (CPO). He founded Adrenaline Combatives, a growing self-protection school, drawing from his real-life experience, research, and martial arts training. Passionate about personal growth, he aims to help others prepare for violence, imparting knowledge and skills on psychological, emotional, and physical levels. With international teaching experience in 7 countries, Julien's journey is just beginning, with endless opportunities ahead.
